Updated Molesey Hospital
The future of Molesey Hospital remains uncertain following a meeting of the Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) on 25 September.
A recent review by the CCG considered the long-term care requirements of patients across Molesey, Epsom, Ewell, Dorking, Leatherhead and Cobham. A range of options is under consideration, and unfortunately these include the possible closure of Molesey Hospital, and the transfer of its services to Cobham Hospital. The CCG decided at the meeting on 25 September, however, that there would be a public consultation before any final decisions are made.
It is vital that Molesey residents make their views known when the public consultation is launched, which is expected to be later in October. The MRA will alert residents as soon as we have any more information.
The Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) consultation on the future of Molesey Hospital, which had been expected in October, has been deferred, and is now likely to take place early in the New Year. The MRA will update local residents as soon as we have any more information – it is vital that as many people as possible respond to the consultation when it is launched to demonstrate their support for keeping the Molesey Hospital open.
