ULTRA LOW EMISSION ZONE (ULEZ)

As members of the coalition group running Elmbridge Council (EBC), MRA Councillors have continued to highlight residents’ concerns about the expansion of the ultra low emission zone (ULEZ), and EBC has now formally stated its opposition to the expansion of the zone as currently proposed.

Whilst we agree that measures need to be taken to improve air quality in Elmbridge we remain concerned about the impact of the ULEZ £12.50 daily charge on local residents and businesses, particularly those near the boundary. We also want to see the TFL Zone 6 extended beyond Hampton Court to encourage more use of public transport.
