Notification of Major Gas Works in Molesey

SGN informed us in in December of their projects to upgrade the gas network in Molesey.

Following consultation with Surrey County Council, they have agreed to alter their original plans and work in collaboration with other utility providers in order to minimise disruption in the area. They have reversed their phases and will now begin with what was previously phase two. Please see the SGN’s revised phase plan for this project as follows:

• Phase 1 – Walton Road, West Molesey
  • This phase started on 6 January 2018 and is expected to last until 23 March 2018
  • We are working in Walton Road from the junction of Rosemary Avenue to the junction of Grange Road
  • Bus stops within our work area will be suspended
  • Multi-way temporary traffic lights will be in use
  • Parking may be suspended in sections as required
• Phase 2 – Walton Road, East Molesey
  • This phase starts on 26 March 2018 and is expected to last until 15 June 2018
  • We will be working in Dennis Road, Park Road and Hansler Grove at their junctions with Walton Road
  • There will be a temporary road closure of Dennis Road, Park Road and Kent Road where they meet Walton Road at different stages of the project (access will be maintained for residents and a signed diversion in place for all through traffic)
  • Bus stops within our work area will be suspended
  • Multi-way temporary traffic lights will be in use
  • Parking may be suspended in sections as required
