Jolly Boatman Decision – Inspector Grants Planning Permission for Development
The Planning Inspector’s decision on the developer’s appeal has now been published.
Unfortunately the Inspector has overturned the Council’s refusal of planning permission. This means that this massive development, which was strongly opposed by the Hampton Court Rescue Campaign and the MRA, and the majority of local residents, can now go ahead.
Permission has been granted for redevelopment to provide 97 homes, a hotel (84 beds) and several retail units, along with access, station interchange, car parking, servicing, new public realm, landscaping and other associated works at the Former Jolly Boatman and land adjoining Hampton Court Station.
