Lower Mole Flood Alleviation Scheme
The Environment Agency’s invitation for the community to submit views on their proposed options for updating the Lower Mole flood alleviation scheme has now concluded.
The MRA response, in common with many local residents, expressed concerns about any proposals which would lower existing water levels and reduce river flows, and the impact such measures would have on the community and on wildlife habitats. We believe any measures which are adopted should also aim to address the increasing problem of floating pennywort.
We will update residents as soon as we have any news about how they will now take this forward.
