Temporary Road Closures 20th April 2015
Proposed temporary road closures, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding along the following roads in Elmbridge:
(a) The entire length of (D6936) Kent Road, East Molesey. Traffic will be diverted via Walton Road, Manor Road and Vine Road;-
(b) The entire length of (D3895) Green Lane, Walton on Thames. Traffic will be diverted via Queens Road, Westcar Lane and Burwood Road;-
(c) The entire length of (D6934) Manor Road, East Molesey. Traffic will be diverted via Walton Road, Kent Road and Vine Road;-
(d) The entire length of (D6935) Church Road, East Molesey. Traffic will be diverted via Hurst Road, Hurst Lane and Vine Road.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out major highway repairs and/or surface treatment works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the eighteen-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order that commences on 20th April 2015. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency vehicles at all times. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses wherever reasonably possible and advanced notification will be given however in the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of The Act the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
