Local Elections on 6 May – MRA Candidates & Manifestos

6 May 2021 Elections

The government has confirmed that the 2021 local elections will go ahead as scheduled on Thursday 6th May. This year is unusual because there will be elections for both our local Councils: Elmbridge Borough Council (EBC), and Surrey County Council (SCC) . This is because last year’s EBC elections were postponed as a result of of the coronavirus epidemic.

In addition there is also an election for the new Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner.

If you have registered for a postal vote these will be sent to you on 19 April.

Local Molesey Residents Association Candidates

We hope you will be able to support our local MRA candidates in these elections. They are:

Elmbridge Borough Council

Surrey County Council

Our MRA candidates are independent of national political party agendas and are there to represent the residents of Molesey. Unlike the political parties our candidates are all local Molesey residents themselves, and work solely for the benefit of Molesey.

Canvassing

Unfortunately, ongoing concerns about the Covid situation will limit the extent to which the Molesey Residents Association candidates will be able to do our normal door-to-door canvassing for the elections on 6th May.

We are sorry that this will restrict our usual face to face contact with residents, but our manifestos will be delivered in the couple of weeks, and if you have any questions, please email us at: moleseyresidentsassociation.org.uk
